Hello, my name is Joanna Myers and I am asking for all the help and prayers I can get for my parents right now. On January 28th, the Myers Family, owners of Sawmill Creek Rustic Mountain Farm suffered a huge loss on their livelihood. Their entire shop and storage areas where they kept everything they owned aside from household belongings just went up in flames. Thank God everyone and all the animals are safe. The fire remains burning even after attempts to put it out and with this crazy wind, we need prayers that it won’t get blown in the direction of their home as well. It’s going to be a total loss on the entire shop, all of their tools and equipment, all of the things that keep the farm running and thriving, sawmill, firewood for the winter, fuel, freezers full of frozen meat, the fourwheeler used for maintaining the property, hunting equipment and gear, camping gear, all three of the children’s bicycles, memorabilia things that can never be replaced, etc. All personal items that were stored in there for the last many years since moving out onto the property went up in flames. Everything they worked so hard to attain for years is all gone and this is going to have a serious impact on their livelihood trying to keep the farm running steady. As it sits right now, the fire continues to reignite with not much that can be done and we’re asking for everybody’s prayers that nothing spreads to the cabin. The well is currently suffering a good deal of damage as well and will need to be repaired or replaced. Any help is so very appreciated to get them back on their feet during this scary and stressful time. They will also need assistance in renting the proper equipment required for removing all the debris left when the fire dies out. Nothing is expected but anything you can give would mean the absolute world and will keep a local family business from running into the ground. If you’re not able to donate, please keep them in your prayers. Thank you so much!
