New Sawed-Off Flooring Christmas Surprise

Hi Sawed-Off Community! First off, shhhhh! This is a surprise to the guys! We had an idea that we thought would be a really fun Christmas surprise to Healy, Schoppe, and Terrance with the new gym opening soon. In discussing the upcoming move one day, I asked if the gym mats were going to be moved to the new place as well. Terrance mentioned that they had received a quote from Rogue about possible new flooring, but that it was going to cost around $15,000! He said that the current gym mats were from Tractor Supply, and that they would be moving the current ones to save money and then purchasing additional new ones to cover the larger square footage of the new workout area (approx 5200 sq ft total which is much larger than our current workout area). A couple of us threw out some jokes about members "buying a square" to move over to the new gym. Well, after thinking about it some more, we thought it would be a great Christmas surprise to the guys to put that into action as a thank you for all that they do for us every single day.  They have built an amazingly welcoming and supportive community at Sawed-Off,  have helped us create healthier lifestyles and reach new goals, and helped us build a mentality that carries out past the gym and into our daily lives.  They are the heart and soul of our wonderful CrossFit community and are constantly striving to grow the gym not just in member size, but also to be a place where their members grow into better people.  How awesome would it be for our gym community to give back to them this Christmas?

So let me break it down into what we are hoping to do here. After doing some fishing with Deana on the new gym size, it was determined that there would be approximately 5200 sq feet of workout space to cover with new mats. Each 4'x6' mat at Tractor Supply is approximately $41.99 plus tax. After doing some calculations, we set a goal of 180 new mats that we would love to surprise them with this Christmas so that they can start the new gym with a brand new floor. If we can get more, that is awesome! They may need more than this or can buy some other supplies that come with installing new flooring.  While GoFundMe has a 0% platform fee, they do take a 2.9% payment processing fee along with $0.30 per donation. So after taking this and sales tax into account, it would cost around $47.00 for each mat. How awesome would it be for our members of the Sawed-Off community to purchase a square (or two or three!)? We know it's Christmas and funds can be short this time of year, so if you cannot fund a mat, even a little bit from each of us will go a long way! We would like to surprise them at the Sawed-Off Christmas party the evening of Friday, Dec. 21st, so let's set a deadline for next Weds the 19th. 

Since Deana works at the gym but is in on the big surprise, we asked her to help Shane and Michelle Dickson oversee everything coming in and getting the funds to the guys. If there are any questions, feel free to reach out to us!
