Hello There,

My name is Ashley Ellis and I am a private Chef living and creating gourmet Caribbean food for locals and guests alike on the beautiful island of St. Croix. The name of my business is Yaadie in St. Croix, and if you guessed, yes I am Jamaican living in St. Croix USVI.

Over the last few years I have been able to connect with many people via the tantalizing flavors of the food I serve them, and it has been my pleasure and honor to do so.

I have hosted culinary experiences, private chef dinners, done lunch deliveries and numerous pop-ups just to share my love of food with the broader community.

It is with great pleasure that I announce that I have decided to create an experience to be enjoyed all year round and open a physical restaurant location. I am excited to, say the least.

The concept is called Jubilee by Yaadie In St. Croix. I want everyone who comes in, to feel joy and jubilant by the flavors of my food and the vibe of the space.

My food, like it always has will tell a story, with bold flavors, using local ingredients as much as possible, having Jamaican flare and spice and of course filled with love. I want to share with you a beautifully curated space with an ambiance that leaves you mesmerized.

I had my grand opening in the heart of Christiansted, St. Croix on December 24, 2023. Achieving this momentous goal, was done through hard work, dedication and also the generosity of many kind individuals who see my vision. These last few 8 and half months have been a rollercoaster of good bad and everything in between but I would not change it for the world.

At this time in my journey I have now been hit with the reality that death exists between life, in less that 3 months I have lost the two women who created me, my grandmother and mother and this has shook my world as they were my biggest cheerleaders!

I am heartbroken and numb. I am currently away from Jubilee to be with my family at this time. Because I am the backbone of the restaurant, and I am not there our doors a closed for a short while whilst I grieve. In this time life doesn’t stop and neither does bills. I would appreciate anything you have to give in this time while I put my pieces together to try be whole again!

Jubilee is my everything and both these women would want me to keep going and I will, but at the moment i know for sure I need to rest and recover. I would be No amount is too big or small and I also appreciate every kind word or prayer in my behalf!
