Bella & Party of 4

Meet Bella and her party of 4! Bella has a sad past of being abandoned and ended up as the "neighborhood dog" wandering around SW Austin, but not approachable. Neighbors would leave food out for her.

A few weeks ago, Bella ended up having puppies under the deck of one of the neighbors and they reached out to the Austin Lost and Found Pets street team to rescue and trap Bella and her pups. The pups were 1 week old at the time of trapping and are 4 weeks old now.

Due to being on her own for over 9 months in the elements, Bella is extremely underweight and undersocialized. Being semi-feral, she is not a candidate for shelter life and is currently being fostered by one of our street team members. After the pups are weaned and adopted, Bella will be doing rehabilitation at the Canine Center for Behavior and Training in Austin. (For more info: www.morefunthandirt.com)

The Canine Center is a relationship-based, solely positive reinforcement center where Bella will learn how to trust and what it's like to be a dog in a home! Ultimately, we'll help her find her forever home when she's ready.

Aside from the cost of the Canine Center for Bella, all 5 dogs will need vet care, spay/neuter, vaccinations, and food and supplies. One of the puppies has a severe injury to her tail, is in treatment, but may need a partial amputation.

Any amount, big or small, can help us support this crew in having a better life!

After medical expenses, Canine Center costs and living supplies have been covered, all remaining funds will go to the Austin Lost and Found Pets Non-Profit Organization here in Austin, TX.
