7 years ago, Aranaway Deja Blue was safe in my pasture. I sold him to a great home only to find out life circumstances forced his sale a year or two later. Then he was sold again. And again. And again. I have spent countless hours communicating with his previous owners, following up to make sure he was safe. Each owner was a little less of a "good fit" which made me look for him in rescue ads & last week I even sent in the paperwork to basically be his emergency contact through the Morgan registry. Tonight, I found out he was consigned to an Amish sale in PA that will commence on June 9th. This horse has had a troubled past. He has been passed from owner to owner and made his way from the west coast all the way to PA and is currently facing a life of being a "road horse" or even worse, to find himself in the slaughter pipeline. With is past, I don't see him holding up as a road horse or even as a pleasure horse for a less than experienced rider.
As a professional trainer, I have dedicated myself to rehabbing and rehoming countless horses that have been pulled from the slaughter pipeline, to find out that one of my own is now facing this is HEARTBREAKING. Let's bring Blue home where he can get the training & help he needs. At only 12 years old, he can have a bright future. Since he's already consigned, he has to run through the sale. I have a highly trusted individual lined up to bid on him, we are hoping he'll go for less than $1500. I have transport lined up as well. $2100 to get him to my farm in WA from a trusted shipper that happens to be in the area the next day. If it doesn't work out and we don't get him, all donations will be refunded or sent to Morgan Safenet as a donation. Thank you for your help! We have a very short time to make this happen, please share this campaign.
