Saving Zarah

A little over 4 weeks ago I received a call about pet sitting a French bulldog and her 2 puppies. Since I have fostered pregnant dogs and dogs with puppies before, I decided to help this couple out because they said they worked and couldn’t look after the mother and pups. I had no idea what I was getting involved in.
The couple had their 7 month old frenchie artificially inseminated and she had to have a c section. They took the mother and 2 pups home and after 3 days, they figure out the mother was not feeding them. By the time they got to me, the mother was severely infected and the puppies were barley alive. I agreed to take care of the puppies if they would rush the mother to an ER.
The puppies were barely 5 oz. when I received them. Without their mother, I had to feed them every 2 hours around the clock. After about 2 weeks, their growth was very slow. The boy was not developing or gaining weight. The girl was very slowly gaining weight. The little boy had succumb to his medical issues. The little girl was diagnosed with Swimmer Puppy Syndrome.
The owners refused to pay for any vet bills and have not paid me for taking care of her. They decided to come get her so that they can see her before she dies(their words). They were hoping that she would recover so that they and the co-owner can breed her. She is almost 5 weeks old and only weighs 1lb 2oz. She was diagnosed with Swimmer Puppy Syndrome. She is currently using a nebulizer and needs physical therapy and constant care. I couldn’t let her go back to people that only wanted her for breeding. I felt compelled to save her. My only way of saving her from a life of abuse and neglect was to purchase her. I have always rescued my pups and to me this was rescuing her from a bad situation AT WHATEVER COST.
Her Name is Zarah. I selected this name because it means “beautiful flower”. Please help me help Little Zarah thrive in this world with many things stacked against her. I know with love and the proper medical treatment, Zarah will live a beautiful life with hurtles, but we will get past these hurtles together.
I know that she will need more medical treatments down the road but I just need to get her over the most critical time of her life so that she can live a full and happy spoiled life.
If you can, please donate to, Saving Zarah. Any amount will help, I am forever grateful for your assistance in saving this beautiful pup.
Thank you,
Rhonda, Piper, Monster, Ever, and Zarah
