Yuzu Fights to Survive After Two Surgeries. He Needs Your Help! Urgent Medical Funds Needed.

My name is Stella Zhang, and I am a pet owner who deeply loves my pet. My cat Yuzu just underwent two surgeries for intestinal perforations within three days and is currently receiving treatment in ECC (emergency and critical care).

Yuzu is a 2-year-old golden British Shorthair cat; he is my family and the most important companion in my life. We live in Houston. On August 20, Yuzu suddenly began vomiting, developed a high fever, and lost his appetite. After multiple hospital diagnoses and treatments, Yuzu's condition did not improve and suddenly worsened on the night of August 29. On the morning of August 30, Yuzu was transferred to TAMU Veterinary Small Animal Hospital. Yuzu underwent the first abdominal surgery on August 30. During the surgery, the doctors found a huge perforation in Yuzu's intestines, along with a serious infection, and had to remove 20% of his intestines and suture them. However, on the morning of Sep 1, Yuzu's condition suddenly worsened, and the doctors decided to perform a second abdominal surgery. They found that the surgical site from the previous operation had perforated again, they had to cut more intestines and sutured again. After the second surgery, Yuzu was immediately transferred to ECC and is currently undergoing expensive hospitalization, antibiotic treatment and blood transfusion to combat the severe infection.

So far, Yuzu's medical bills estimate have reached $45,000. which has far exceeded Yuzu's insurance coverage and my financial ability. Yuzu is still not out of danger, and the doctor estimated that Yuzu will need at least one more week of hospitalization in ECC. The daily hospital costs for Yuzu are estimated to be $2000 for the next five days. The infection has been effectively controlled. As long as Yuzu's anemia improves and blood starts to flow to his GI tract，Yuzu will be discharged soon. I will never give up Yuzu. I need your help to continue raising funds for his medical expenses.
