Wallace’s surgery fund ✨

Wallace is home and recovering. The surgery went well,better than expected in some ways, and more complicated in others. The infection went deeper than the vet was comfortable going, so while they didn’t extract the tooth, they were able to drain as much of the abscess as possible and get some really thorough X-rays to understand what’s going on.

At this point, a dental specialist would be needed to go any further, but we’ve decided not to pursue that route. It’s invasive, expensive, and wouldn’t guarantee better outcomes. Instead, Wallace is on antibiotics, pain meds, and is being spoiled rotten. We’re hopeful the infection won’t return… but if it does, we’ll face that when we get there. That bridge might be a rainbow, but not today. For now, he’s cuddled up with his brother Grommet.
