Saving Waha beloved Trees from being cut for min 10 Years

Hey, my beautiful Waha Tribe and GoFundMe Tree lovers! ❤️

You all know that Waha (https://wahafestival.ro/) is so much more than just a community to me—it’s my heart and soul. The magic we’ve created together in those trees, the love, the memories... they mean the world to me. And now, we have a chance to give back to this place that has given us all so much.

I recently had a chat with Tudor, one of the amazing Waha organizers, and learned that this month is critical for us. According to our contract, we need to raise €5,000 if we want to protect and preserve our beloved Waha trees (with 25 hectares). The good news is we've already raised €2,050—but we still have €2,950 to go before the end of October. You can learn more about this cause here: https://asociatiaunda.ro/ . This funding will help preserve the trees for another 10 years, after which a new contract can be established. The current landowners are not willing to commit indefinitely. They would receive an extra 1,200 EUR per year for 25 hectares, which makes us quite pleased with our progress so far. In 10 years, management may change, and we could negotiate a different deal. Overall, we are gaining time to pursue legal options as well.

Waha holds some of the most cherished moments of my life—moments of love, peace, and connection. I still remember sitting under those trees with someone beautiful, sharing a quiet sunset. The breeze, the leaves rustling, and the feeling that everything was just... right. Waha’s trees have witnessed our stories, our love, and our growth. I can’t imagine them not being there to share more.

As many of you know, I’m super passionate and emotional about things I care about—whether it’s love, justice, or this incredible tribe. When I found out about this, it hit me deep. I just can’t let this go without doing everything in my power to help.

So, here’s my wish. Some of you may know my birthday is coming up on October 15th, and this year, my birthday wish is simple: let’s raise this money together for Waha. I’ll personally be donating €250, and I’m also setting up a GoFundMe to help us reach the goal. To sweeten the deal, I’ll be matching donations up to €500—so every little bit counts double!

With the €2,050 already raised and my contribution of €250, we still need €2,950 to save the Waha trees. I know, with our collective energy and love, we can absolutely do this. Every single euro gets us closer to our goal, and any amount you can give will mean the world.
