Hello, friends. We are Poki and Friends Rescue Team. We’re a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization who works hard to save the most vulnerable dogs from the most devastating situations. Over the years, we’ve saved hundreds of dogs from Southern and Northern California. We’ve seen the most tragic cases turn into beautiful stories, where dogs once left behind are adopted by loving families. You’ve seen how Poki and Friends Rescue has helped Phoenix, Jimmy, Ernie, Becky, Timmy, Sebastian, Turby, Victor—all those dogs that once were left behind. They were fortunate to receive the help from Poki and Friends and find loving families in the end. You’ve seen how we’ve hosted adoption events, spay/neuter campaigns, fundraisers—always stepping in to help other rescues in need. Now, during these difficult times, we have struggled to find shelter and foster homes. We haven’t been able to rescue dogs lately because of space. Many times, we can’t find foster homes, and with our limited resources and funds, we can’t cover boarding expenses. It breaks our hearts because every day, hundreds of dogs are left behind, dying simply because there’s no space. This is why we must act now. We’ve partnered with a construction company to build a cabin—a small shelter in Baja—so we can bring more dogs in and give them space in a safe place. It is because we need funds to finish this project that we come to you for help. I know the rescue community is close and united, and because we love these dogs so much, I believe in you. I believe that together we can make a difference—that we can change the world and open spaces for new dogs and make their lives happier. We can do something about it, guys. We have put some money together from personal savings, along with some donations, to pay half of the cost of this project, but we still need to come up with the other $12,000 to cover all the expenses to complete the small cabin.
