My friend, Vanessa, has really been having a tough year. In June, she lost her husband of 26 years, Dan, to cancer. A month later, she lost her close cousin, Robert, also to cancer. She recently was hit hard by hurricane Sally, which blasted her home near Gulf Shores, Alabama. She had many downed trees and wires on her property. Being on her own, she was so grateful to her friends for coming to her aid, and helping her with the cleanup. She has been so strong through all of this devastation. Now, she is facing another unthinkable tragedy. Her beloved rescue dog, Jake, has been hit by a car and has been left fighting for his life. The linesman who came to fix her downed wires, didn’t secure the gate, and two of her dogs escaped the yard. Her other dog returned, but Jake was struck. Vanessa is now facing vet bills of $4,000 and counting. Vanessa is really struggling and needs help. This dog means everything to her. Any amount will help her pay his vet bill and bring him home. ❤️
