For many local dog owners, UpDogPets has quickly become more than a doggy daycare—it’s a place where dogs are loved, exercised, and cared for like family. Dogs arrive with wagging tails and leave happily tired after a day of play, socialization, and attention. It’s the kind of place pet owners feel grateful to have when they need someone they trust with their dogs.
UpDogPets was created by Mandy Barratt out of a deep love for dogs and a desire to build a safe, structured place where they could play, socialize, and be cared for like family. With a background in professional dog training and behavior, Mandy designed the doggy daycare around understanding dogs—their personalities, energy levels, and social needs. Instead of large chaotic groups, dogs are carefully introduced and matched into smaller play groups where they can interact safely and comfortably.
Recently, unexpected life changes have made it challenging to keep everything moving forward while also caring for her 18-month-old twin boys. Rather than stepping away from the dogs and families who rely on her, Mandy continues showing up every day to keep the doggy daycare running and the dogs cared for. Friends, clients, and neighbors created this page to help support UpDogPets and the safe environment it provides for so many dogs.
Funds raised will help maintain and improve the space the dogs depend on, including: replacing worn grass and sod in outdoor play areas, installing a new AC unit for kennel areas, repairing and upgrading agility and enrichment equipment, providing toys and stimulation activities, and maintaining safe fencing and outdoor spaces.
If your dog has ever come home from doggy daycare happily exhausted, or if you believe in supporting small businesses that care deeply about animals, please consider contributing. Even small donations make a meaningful difference. Together we can help ensure UpDogPets continues to be a safe, happy place for dogs to play and for pet families to rely on for years to come.
