PLEASE HELP US RAISE FUNDS FOR AN URGENT MASS SPAY/NEUTER EVENT ON MARCH 2-4, 2026, AND, ON LONG TERM BASIS, SAVE MORE UNWANTED ANIMALS ON SIARGAO ISLAND IN THE SOUTHERN PHILIPPINES. We are planning on sterilizing 500 animals in the span of three days.

Puppy Puddle is the first animal rescue group formed on Siargao Island in the southern Philippines. We run operations since March 2018, purely on volunteer basis and on donations. We focus on saving stray, homeless animals as well as work closely with underprivileged communities to spread awareness about animal welfare and help those less fortunate care for their animals. Our primary focus is on organizing regular mass sterilization and vaccinations events. Since we began in 2018 we managed to conduct 17 spay/neuter clinics and sterilize around 4000 animals and vaccinate many more.

Heartbreaking cases that we face daily include:

- unwanted puppies and kittens thrown out in plastic bags or about to be drowned

- female dogs exhausted from multiple, unwanted pregnancies

- severe skin conditions like mange and scabies

- severe malnourishment and hunger

- deadly canine distemper and parvo viruses

- infections

- road accidents

In order to keep running consistently and effectively we need your help with the following:

- supplies for our street missions for stray animals (injectables for skin diseases and infections, dewormers, dog food)

- administering anti-rabies shots and canine distemper vaccinations to animals from underprivilaged communities

-organizing MASS SPAY/NEUTER AND VACINATION EVENTS to help control the number of unwanted and sick animals. This service is FREE for all the local people on the island and one of our most meaningful missions

-paying off vet bills at the local clinic that we work closely with

Up to date we managed to:

- organize 18 mass spay/neuter events (most events are three days long; we have to fly vet specialists in from the mainland and in addition offer free vaccinations, deworming and food)

- spay/neuter around 4000 animals

- vaccinate around 5500 animals

- adopt out 150 animals (including adoptions to Canada, USA and France)

OUR MOST IMMEDIATE NEED IS TO ORGANIZE ANOTHER MASS SPAY/NEUTER EVENT! WE ARE AIMING FOR MARCH 2-4,2026. DUE TO SHORTAGE OF ANESTHESIA LAST YEAR WE WERE NOT ABLE TO ORGANIZE SUCH EVENT SINCE MAY 2024 AND WE CAN ALREADY SEE A HUGE INCREASE IN UNWANTED PUPPIES AND KITTENS AROUND THE ISLAND!
