My name is Alea. I am 18 years old, and I am saving up to leave my childhood home that I never thought I would leave. I am reaching out to the community for help because of the circumstances of me leaving. My parents found out I was in a relationship with another girl, and I was given an ultimatum: “Either leave this house, or you can live here, not be gay, and go to church every Sunday with us.” As of right now, I am choosing to stay at home so I can save as much money as I can before I leave home.
