Saving Timmy & Tiggy
Tax deductible
At just 2 years old, Timmy & Tiggy have had a hard life. They came to Forgotten Felines on July 4th, 2021 as tiny 6 week old orphaned stray kittens with their siblings and cousins - 8 all together. All flea-infested (the worst I have ever seen), thin, and sick. One kitten had died before it came to us, one died an hour after we got it, and one died the next morning. Timmy and Tiggy and a few of their siblings survived.
After just a few months, they were transferred to a foster home where they could have more floor space to run around. However, the carrier broke outside and all 5 kittens escaped into a yard with heavy foliage and were lost for a week before all were found again.
Despite being absolute love and cuddlebugs, Timmy and Tiggy are the last 2 to be adopted from their litter, probably because of their color, black. Black cats are always the last to be adopted. They have been waiting in their foster home for their family to find them. Sadly, both brothers recently developed FIP (a disease in the lining of their stomach), a once deadly disease.
There is a cure for FIP now with a 90% cure rate, but it is extremely expensive. It would crush our little rescue, so I (Lynn) took it upon myself to pay out of pocket for the medication which costs $130 a small vial. Timmy and Tiggy need one injection every day for 90 or more days to save their life. Each vial holds only 5 total doses and the delivery fee is $30 each shipment. There are blood tests that cost $179 each every few months, then pills afterward.
Timmy has a month of injections behind him; Tiggy has 2 weeks. I have already invested quite a bit into saving these sweet boys, but it is getting difficult to continue on a teacher's salary. My funds are running out. They still need injections til the end of July. They have come so far and I don't want to abandon them now by running out of money. They are doing well - strong again, full of personality, and eating like little piggies.
Please help save them. As a rescue, we save so many. We want to save them, too.
Every little bit helps. Please donate whatever you can and share on your page. Please help save them.
Thank you.
