Hello, I’m James McTague, reaching out for The Love Foundry,

a 501c3, non-profit educational foundation, born out of love, my Viet Nam, USMC - veteran experiences, and PTSD. I would like your help.

My Story ________________________________

Returning from war, I struggled with severe PTSD. I tried many treatments with little success. One day, struggling with work, a wife, and three young children, I hit “the wall”. I could simply go no further and saw no path forward. The war had caught up with me.

My friend Gene said, “You’re coming with me!” 

We went to a veteran’s group, where veterans without solutions simply talked with one another.  Sometimes quietly, sometimes, heatedly — like that night…

At a certain intense moment, a powerful energy swept into and through the room, enveloping everyone. Anxiety and stress evaporated. Peace, hope, and healing took their place. I naturally and intuitively knew this was Love.

That group experience with love was beyond any emotion, beyond an expression of feeling. It was not generated by us, but a life force unto itself loving us. And as I turned to it, I thought, in wonder, this is Love itself!

 Transformation__________________________

I had directly experienced Love’s living, ever-present, creative power. My conscious relationship with love, in my awareness, was born, and I was not going to lose it.

For the men in my group, our war experiences had banished love’s presence from our awareness, our relationships, from our very lives.  We were not unique, but our experiences made us seem so, and feel as if we were. Love changed that.

I found, that inviting the Presence of Love itself into our awareness, as a companion in our life, empowers us with love’s creative gifts of transformation and unity, enabling positive life transformation.

I also realized, ordinary human beings whether veterans, trauma survivors, abandoned children, or just those enduring stressful lives, all lacked a true awareness of this spontaneous power of Love itself, of its living, unique, healing presence. It surrounds us and is within us. It remains unseen by nearly everyone but is deserved by all.

My truth is, “Love can never be separated or ever lost from anyone.  All we can ever lose is the awareness of our relationship with it.  And that can be recovered, repaired, and grown into something of beauty and power
