SAVING THE VENICE LIFEGUARD STATION TOWER

Tax deductible
We, the community, have saved the Venice Lifeguard Station Tower from the County's senseless demolition plan. Over 1400 neighbors petitioned to stop the madness.

Now we need to have the Building Repairs Assessment updated to determine what repairs are needed and what upgrades are suggested. This will indicate what uses might be possible. Will it be for lifeguard services? Or for a Public Venue such as an Observation Tower, Lifeguards &/or Oceanarium Museum?

As a not-for-profit, The Venice Oceanarium is able to receive the donations, tax deductibe to you. 100% of these funds will go to pay for the Venice Lifeguard Station Building Assessment.

Please pitch in toward the $15,000 Building Assessment cost. We've raised $10,000 in direct donations so we just have $5,000 to go.

The Venice Lifeguard Station Tower is an historic, irreplaceable architectural icon, in the center of Santa Monica Bay, providing unparalled 360 degree views of the entire coast, the ocean, mountains and city.

The County is the tenant; it's owned by the City. The County should pay but, just as they have been delinquent in maintaining the property, they continue to drag their feet. The Building Assessment is essential to learning the honest facts, to lay a path for preservation and future use.

Please be generous!
