Saving The Historic Wiesner Farm House

Donation protected
Hello and Thank you for visiting

This has been created to help raise funds to save the Historic Wiesner Farm House in North Howell Oregon.

Built in 1864 by Bartholomew Wiesner The house has been not only a landmark  place of Oregon industry and farming for 134 years, but represents the story of Oregon, how it was settled, farming in the Willamette Vally, and The Wiesner Family.

At one time the Wiesner Berry Farm was the largest berry farm in the world, was the place for annual Easter egg hunts, and was even a place for film when used in the 1973 made for TV movie ''Isn't it shocking?" staring Alan Alda.

My family acquired the house in 2017 under the condition it be relocated from its current location to a new property.

Our goal is to relocate it just north of its current location, Restore it to its former original glory, document every historical aspect of the house, the Wiesner Family, and have the house designated as a Historical Landmark and placed on the historical registry.

We will have the house open to the public for events and plan to bring back the Easter egg hunts so many who grew up in the area have fond childhood memories of.

The Wiesner House is a historic landmark and an important piece of Oregon’s heritage. The house deserves to be preserved for generations to come as a treasure of the Willamette Valley’s rich, colorful roots. With a unique story to tell, it stands as a rare treat in time, a link from the past to be cherished.
