Suzie is the embodiment of love; she is warm, patient, generous, and kind-hearted. If you've met her, you know her adventurous spirit, eternal glass-half-full-ness, and tremendous capacity for caring for others. The Video Message of Love and Support:
SEE the video made for Suzie, sending her love and support from her friends and family...The Story:
Suzie is a nurse, and is currently working on obtaining her masters in nursing. She is the kind of nurse that every patient deserves beside them- compassionate, intelligent, inquisitive, and determined.
Suzie is also recently married, just having celebrated her one-year anniversary to my brother, this past July. Their love for each other is the kind that can move mountains. Seeing Suzie with her husband is the kind of thing that makes you believe in miracles, and true love, and soul mates. It is the kind of love that grows old and wrinkly, but never loses its glow.
Suzie is also in need of your help. She would never ask you for it, which is why I am the one writing this.
Suzie was recently diagnosed with a very serious and life threatening cancer (High-Grade Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma) affecting her skull base and spine. Suzie's skull base tumor is shown in this MRI image, circled in red. Since it is touching her brain stem, a special form of radiation is required to treat it.
Although she is in great spirits, she has a long and difficult journey ahead of her.Suzie receiving Proton Radiotherapy at Massachusetts General Hospital; this is the special radiation treatment that will give her the best possible outcome.Suzie recovering from her endonasal biposy surgery
This GoFundMe is not only for the already-mounting medical expenses, but also for the the other expenses associated with her care. Because of the location of the tumor, she has had to leave her home in Boulder, Colorado, and travel to Pittsburgh for surgery. Her and her husband will have to live in Pittsburgh for several weeks, or months, to continue to be monitored. This means extraordinary housing expenses and other costs of living.
On behalf of Suzie and Jesse, I am so thankful for your support and for being there for Suzie during this time. If you are unable to donate, please share this with your friends and let them know how incredible she is.
Help shoulder this burden so that Suzie can focus on healing. That way she can get back to being the incredible smiling, laughing, singing, and dancing sister, daughter, wife, nurse, and friend that she is.
