Suzanne was unknowingly exposed to a rare fungus caused by a mold spore in a landscaping fertilizer. This settled in both of her eyes causing blindness and necessitating cornea transplants in both eyes. She has undergone 8 ocular operations. The surgeries had complications causing her to be legally blind in her left eye. Suzanne has a team of 4 specialists who are working hard to preserve what sight she has left and help her adapt to her limited eyesight. She has ongoing specialized treatment and adaption aids
