This is Stretch. He is 7yrs old and our best friend. 2 days ago he became ill, shaking all over, yelping in pain and not himself. After a trip to the emergency vet it turns out his problems are spinal. Then yesterday he lost the use of his back legs. Our vet believes he is suffering with IVDD, a big problem in dachshunds. But just the MRI to officially diagnose him is £1000, the surgery to help him is £5000 and with 2 young children this is totally out of our reach, yet we are NOT ready to give up on our Stretchy!
