SAVING STORIES OF THE RAN'S A4 SKYHAWK

STOP PRESS. Due to the extraordinary generosity of our supporters both through this GoFundMe campaign and with direct payments to the FAAAA account, we have reached our target! A huge THANK YOU to everyone who contributed. The A4 book will go ahead!

Forty years after the RAN's A4s were retired, the book will bring a comprehensive collection of stories, yarns and dits about them. Each contribution has been penned by a person who best knew the Skyhawk, and together they make up an extraordinary snapshot of not only the aircraft, but the people who maintained and flew them. They are unique memories that will enrich its legacy.

The donated funds have been sent to the publisher who is starting work on editing and preparing the manuscript. Once that is done, it will be sent overseas for printing, and we hope to see it on the bookshelves in Australia around September this year.

Occasional updates on the progress of the book will be in our monthly magazine, "FlyBy", which can be found on the Fleet Air Arm Association of Australia website.
