Hi all,
As you may or may not know, my mom's sweet shop pug, Simon was rushed to MSU vet clinic on Tuesday night for emergency surgery for a blockage in his urinary tract conjugated with grit & stones. Ultimately, this was removed but he still required close monitoring...
Tracey, our mom, was able to bring him home on Thursday afternoon. Instead of being on the road to recovery, that night, things backtracked and she could not get Simon to eat, drink, or pee on his own. Due to this he was unable to take his pain medication either. Friday morning it was suggested she bring him back into the emergency vet clinic in TC to be re-evaluated. The picture above was sent to us earlier from the wonderful staff at Bay Area Pet Hospital as they now have him admitted for the next 24-48 hours to catheterize him and get his pain & swelling under control. We are SO thankful things seem to be on the right track now as Simon means a lot to our family.
I decided I would reach out to, as my mom calls you, "the troops". She has been overwhelmed by all of the prayers, vibes, support, & love she has received from everyone. She has had quite a rough year between losing her mom and struggling to keep her shop, Relish open & afloat in our small town with the COVID restrictions and shut downs... this is not how she expected to be starting out 2021.
I realize we have all been affected by COVID, but just ask if you are in a position where you are able, I am collecting funds to offset these unexpected vet visits, and his surgery as my mom is still digging herself out of the COVID hole with Relish.
Regardless, I want to thank you all for your kind words & being so supportive to my mom because there truly is no worse feeling as a daughter than seeing your momma cry. My mom is the biggest sweetheart & anyone who knows her will agree -- she will do anything for anyone...
So, calling all the troops, let's do what we can to help out my mom, Simon, & her small town business & give her a break that she so deserves.
