Saving Sedici Cafe! Home to many crew members
Donation protected
Hello travellers, Floridians, Crew Members, EVERYONE,
This beautiful place/restaurant is family owned and run. It has been a local hangout and "home" to many many crew members. I say "home because this is not your normal restaurant. When I say "home" I mean you get greeted with hugs, you can order off the menu, get your mail delivered, get picked up or driven to the airport, get flowers on your birthday and cake, ask for a movie to be downloaded and get a hard drive handed to you on your next visit, ask for something that they don't have (like a pumpkin spice latte or a veggie burger) and its put on the menu the next day, throw a Christmas gathering because we cant be with our families, or give us turkey for thanksgiving because the ship did not have any, goes to another store to buy you a sim card or something you needed but don't have the time to get it yourself, listen and give advice like a therapist, offering to stay in their home, the walls and table were full of photos of crew members or anyone that visited and wanted to leave their mark...this list can go on and on BUT the best part of this cafe is they did all this without asking for anything in return. They called it home because for a lot of crew it was. I also know not just crew visited there. On top of that list the Puente's have treated everyone with love like we were their own family. We are not blood related but everyone that stepped into this place was and always will be.
This place was depended on crew members and ships...that was their main business clients. Since Covid19 started the business has suffered and is struggling to stay open. With cruise ships still not returning any time soon, they need our help.
Any donation will go straight to keeping this amazing place open!
Please help save this family run restaurant...if you had a pleasure to visit them in the downtown Miami area you will know these are the nicest, most caring lovely people and it breaks my heart they are in trouble. If you have not been able to visit them please do! This place means the world not just to them but they touched the lives of so many!
