Samuel was shot in his left hind leg.  Circe, a good samaritan found him in her driveway and took him to a local vet.  He was examined and no microchip was found.  Estimated costs to repair or amputate the leg was $1,500.  Second option--euthanasia.

Circe put out a plea for assistance and Meow Village responded.  Samuel is currently at our veterinary clinic, Willamette Valley Animal Hospital in Keizer Oregon.  Because of the severity of the damage caused by the bullet, Samuel's left hind leg will need to be amputated.

Samuel is estimated to be 5 -7 years old.  So he has MANY years in which to enjoy his life--as many 3 legged cats do!

Funds will go directly toward Samuel's veterinary care.  His surgery is happening today (May 1, 2017).

Why was Samuel shot?  We'll never know--but there is no justifiable reason to shoot an innocent cat.

On behalf of Samuel and Meow Village, we appreciate any size donation.  Thank you.

Meow Village is a 501c3 rescue whose focus is feral cats and "at risk" stray and abandoned cats.
