Saving Samjana
Donation protected
Samjana Chepang is a 13 year old girl who lives in the Chepang Hills in Chitwan, Nepal.
Recently and Australian nursing outreach program met Samjana during a one-day healthcamp in the hills.
Upon removing the flimsy cloth from her foot, we dicovered her entire heel was necrotic tissue. The infection has moved into the bone of her leg and she is looking at an amputation, possible of the entire leg.
Samjana has other medical issues, but we are assessing and controlling the infection first.
At the very least, she is looking at multiple surgeries, months of recovery and rehabilitation.
It is unclear whether she will ever be able to return to her hillside home.
We need funds to pay for her immediate medical treatment, and also for her longterm recovery.
Any donation will be greatly appreciated.
