My mom, Rhonda Rae Penn, suffers from multiple sclerosis. It stole her entire life away, and now she needs help. She lives a life that no human being should be forced to lead, and it’s time for that to change. I want 59 to be the last year that my mom ever has to live like this. This GoFundMe is only part of a much larger mission, culminating in September with a fundraiser birthday party for mom. Alongside food and drinks, I'll be putting together a silent auction with businesses from around the state. She celebrates a milestone birthday on the 27th, so I want to make sure that she starts her next decade off right.
I will be contacting dozens of companies and businesses, from native corporations to small businesses all across the Minnesota metro area and beyond. I am seeking donations of all kinds, from food, kegs, and bottles, to catering services and local musical artists. I don't know how many birthday parties she's had thrown for her before, but I want to make this one beats 'em all.

My mother raised me to believe in the good in all people, and to reach for the stars. She did it all on her own, too. Well, I am taking those lessons to heart now, as I reach out into the world for help.
Her home isn’t safe to live in anymore, and with a looming mortgage and limited resources, she can’t afford to fix it. There are holes in the floors, ceilings looking like they are about to cave in, and its facilities are failing fast. It is beyond clean-up or repair, which is why I am going to be reaching out to a lot of out Minnesota’s construction companies in this campaign. With their resources combined, and from donors large and small across our great state, I have no doubt that we can give my mom a better life.
My event is a chance for Minnesota's good people to come together and change someone's life. It's a hard world for a lot of us, and sometimes there aren't opportunities to change that. My mom is a multiple sclerosis survivor, and I hope I can repay her for all she has done for me in this event. All I want for her is what any human being deserves, to live in a safe environment with all of the care and support that she needs.
This is also a fantastic opportunity for Minnesota's corporations and entities to do very real good, and help me reach a very attainable goal. I will remain dedicated to making sure that any donations or contributions are clearly recognized, so that, while this is a chance to help my mom live a better life, it is also a great opportunity for you to find positive recognition in our community. I hope to be able to count on your support!
