Saving Ralphie's Life
Donation protected
Puppy with liver problems. At only four months old, Ralph has already acquired multiple liver shunts from an ailing liver. His upcoming biopsy will determine if there is any treatment possible for his very advanced case. Any and all proceeds will go to his treatment, and towards providing this sweet puppy with the best life and greatest care possible.
You would never expect that a pup as happy and sweet Ralph would be undergoing such severe internal medical duress. As a very young puppy, he was returned to his breeder by his first owners when they suspected that he would need medical care, but he had never been diagnosed. When I met Ralph, I fell in love immediately with this absolute sweetheart and knew I would do anything to give him the most loving home. I mean how could anyone not fall in love?
While on the road from where we currently live in Los Angeles, to my hometown in New York, Ralph began exhibiting symptoms for the first time in my experience. We rushed to a vet in Chicago, who based on his bloodwork recommended that we urgently see a specialist upon arrival in New York. There we were taken under the gracious wing of Cornell University Veterinary Specialists in Stamford, Connecticut. After his emergency room visit, transfer to internal medicine, and CT scans, Ralph was sent home in stable condition until we are due hit the road back to Los Angeles to continue his care. He has been in great spirits since, back to his sweet, silly, playful, HUNGRY self, but we may be facing a long road of surgery and ongoing treatment. Due to the pandemic, I got hit pretty hard financially when the restaurant industry effectively shut down. I humbly ask for any help, love, and prayers towards Ralph's care. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
