medical expenses and travel back home

Hello, everyone. My name is Kristal and I've created this GoFundMe campaign to seek assistance in bringing my mom and brother back home + help cover medical expenses.

On October 5th, my brother (Ryan) embarked on a journey from Rhode Island to California, but unfortunately, he fell seriously ill before reaching home.

Right from the beginning of his trip, he struggled with swollen legs and his psoriasis at its worst. As his journey continued, he found it increasingly challenging to get out of his car to get gas but mainly struggled with using his strength to step on the gas pedal. Worried about his condition, he called our mom, who took a red-eye flight that same night to meet him in a Pennsylvania parking lot. After she found him, he was completely disoriented from the pain so she quickly rushed him to the nearest urgent care due to the extent of his health deterioration. Ryan was subsequently transported to the hospital and admitted. As of today, they are still in the hospital.

Ryan's condition is quite serious with his heart rate being three times the normal level, severe skin issues, inability to walk, and excruciating pain with the slightest touch. Initially, the doctors were uncertain about the exact nature of his ailment, so extensive testing began, followed by treatment with a dedicated team of doctors attending to him daily.

Upon his release from the hospital, it has been advised that he cannot undertake a four-day drive back home and must opt for a flight. This situation has brought several hardships, including the cost of flights, the need to transport his car from Pennsylvania to California, the loss of our mom's wages due to her sudden trip, and the anticipated medical expenses once he returns home.
