Hi everyone,
I never imagined I would be writing something like this, but I’m sharing during one of the hardest moments I’ve faced.
Padfoot is my 4-year-old Great Dane, and she is truly my child and a central part of my family. She’s my constant companion, my comfort, and my heart. While I was away, Padfoot accidentally swallowed a toy, and the obstruction went unnoticed for several days. The moment I returned from my trip, I knew something wasn’t right and rushed her to the emergency veterinary hospital.
After extensive testing, the veterinarians discovered the toy was lodged in both her stomach and intestines, causing a life-threatening blockage. Padfoot needed immediate emergency surgery to save her life. The waiting, not knowing if she would survive, was absolutely terrifying. Thankfully, the surgery was successful, but her condition was critical, and her recovery has required intense care and monitoring.
Between emergency exams, imaging, surgery, hospitalization, and medications, the cost of saving Padfoot’s life has exceeded $10,000. This sudden and overwhelming expense has left me emotionally and financially exhausted, but there was never a question—I would do anything for her.
Asking for help is incredibly difficult, but Padfoot is my child and my family, and I want to give her every possible chance to heal and come home healthy—to curl up in her own bed, feel safe again, and be reunited with her sister, Tonks, who misses her deeply.
Any donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward her medical bills and continued care. If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing this page or keeping Padfoot in your thoughts means more than I can express.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading her story, for your kindness, and for the love and support during this incredibly difficult time. I am endlessly grateful.
