Hi everyone, it’s Teri.

If you know me, you know I would never ask for help unless I truly needed it. This is one of those times.

My sweet Gucci has been by my side for 14 beautiful years. She is the most docile, gentle, loving little soul... the kind of dog who comforts you when you’re sad, follows you from room to room just to be near you, and asks for nothing but love in return.

Recently, we discovered a mass growing on her breast. It’s already almost the size of a golf ball on her tiny body. Watching it grow has been heartbreaking. It’s starting to slow her down and keep her from being her happy, comfortable self.

The hardest part? She is otherwise healthy.

Her heart is strong. Her lungs are clear. She still wants to eat, cuddle, and enjoy her days. The vet believes surgery to remove the tumour within the next 30 days gives her the best chance at several more good years. Because the rest of her body is so healthy, the vet says she's an excellent candidate for the surgery.

She isn’t ready to go. And I’m not ready to say goodbye.
