Saving Our Pets, and Our Future

Hi, my name is Gillian, and I’m writing this with a lot of fear and a lot of hope.

I lost my father very suddenly, and with my mom having passed when I was a kid, I’ve been on my own. I’m not close with my extended family so I took guardianship over my sister and since then, I’ve been fighting every day to survive, and protect my family.

After everything I’ve been through these last few years I experienced a severe mental health crisis, and subsequently lost my job. Due to this loss of income I have now lost my home. Having to take care of a family on my own has strapped me of my savings and left me in fear of homelessness.

I was just approved for a new place that would finally let me breathe and rebuild. But when my tax refund — which I was counting on — was taken by the state unexpectedly, I was left without the funds I need to secure it.

Without help, I am at a real risk of becoming homeless — and my biggest fear is slipping back into the dark place I’ve just got out of.

I urgently need about $3000 to move. Even a small donation, or just sharing this, could be the difference that keeps me from being homeless. Even raising half of that amount would be life-changing.

I’m working every day to find new work, heal, and create a stable future. I just need some help to get through this impossible moment.
