Saving our Father one step at a time.

Donation protected
On Friday March 6th of 2020, our lives were forever changed. Lonnie Steckly, Dad had a stroke. He was rushed from his home in Wahoo Nebraska to Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln. The bleeding to his brain was extensive. The artery burst at the back of his neck, causing a pool of blood to the right side of his brain. His brain stem has swollen not allowing his spinal fluid to transfer where it's supposed to and that is also pooling to his head. As a family we decided to have a tube placed in his skull to relieve the fluid to give him the best Fighting Chance. We know that his gag reflex in his ability to cough has been compromised. He has been intubated to keep him from choking on his own secretions. As of right now we know that the left side of his body is immobile. He has lost most of his vision. He was born with only one kidney because of the acute trauma he went into kidney failure and has been placed on dialysis. He is strong and he keeps fighting with every step backwards he make sure there's one glimmer of hope every day.

 * meet his insurance deductible for the year
* dialysis travel for the future as treatments will be 3 days a week for 4 hours a day
* Mobility AIDS for the future that are unknown
* help with his prescription cost
