Fundraiser by Olena Sklarov: Help a Ukrainian Family Settle in Canada

Olena has started this fundraiser to help bring her Ukrainian family members to Canada. Olena’s sister-in-law, Anna (36), and her two sons, Artur (13) and Timothy (11), fled from their home shortly after the Russian invasion. They escaped Kyiv while they still had the chance, leaving everything behind - the boys even said goodbye to their father who had to stay behind to defend his country. After many long days of travel and waiting in lines at checkpoints, Anna and her boys finally made it safely across the border to Poland. From there, Anna used her remaining money to buy bus tickets to France. Anna and her boys are currently staying in Nice as they wait and hope to come to Canada, where they will be taken in by Olena's family.

Your donations will pay for the family’s airline tickets, as well as items like food, clothing, furniture, toys and other items they had to leave behind. All support is appreciated in helping bring Anna’s family to safety in Canada as they begin to rebuild their lives.
