My name is Sarah and I’m asking for help for my 5-year-old Doberman, Nihilus — Nia. She isn’t just my dog; she’s my family, and she once saved my life.

When my dad passed away, I was completely broken. Nia never left my side. She got me through the darkest time of my life with her constant comfort and unconditional love. In so many ways, she saved me — and now she needs me to save her.

Nia is currently fighting serious liver damage. After eight emergency room and veterinary visits, I’m still searching for answers. To diagnose and treat her condition, she urgently needs CT scans, a liver biopsy, medications, and continued ER and vet care. She’s only 5 years old and still has so much life ahead of her.

She still wags her tail. She still leans into me for comfort. She still believes I will protect her — just like she has protected me.

The cost of these tests and visits has added up faster than I ever imagined, and I can’t do this alone. Every day matters, and every step forward depends on being able to afford the next test or treatment.
