Over the past year, my vision has gotten worse and worse, and I’ve been diagnosed with posterior subcapsular cataracts in both eyes. These are rapidly progressing — you can go from perfect vision to completely blind in a matter of months. My doctor says I have about 6 months before I lose my sight completely without surgery.

Because of my vision needs, I have to have special lenses — $2,995 per eye — plus $500 copays for each surgery. The total is far more than I can cover alone.
