My 14 year old daughter has a passion for horses since she was 3. She belongs to our local 4-H Group beginning at age 8 as well as local horse clubs like G and M Riding Club in Goshen, NY. Almost 5 years ago we were lucky enough to get her a horse named Jackpot who she rides and competes western on. Just recently right before the Christmas holiday he became lame. After finding out that he had a deep puncture wound in his back hoof that went into the muscle and created a deep infection, he had to be hospitalized at an Equine facility. The bills exceed over $10,000 today and will continue to increase as we try to get him back to be able to walk again. He is just beginning to put some weight back on that hoof but will be treated for at least another month on antibiotics and he is not out of the woods yet. Everyone is hoping the infection won’t come back after the wound fully heals. Treating a horse is extremely expensive. The MRI alone is $2,000 and a nights stay at the hospital is about $500 a day where he has been for almost 2 weeks. Please help us treat Jackpot medically and help my daughter Mya to save her loving horse. Thank you all for anything you can do. We appreciate it!
