Patryk is a phenomenon of no other occurence: he was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis of lungs and abdomen complicated with egzocrine pancreatic failure at birth and he was given a 1 year prognosis. He didn't give up and now, 37 years later, he is still with us.

It was never easy, he sent me his last good byes many times...for years he was bound at home with oxygen bottles, but he made use of that time and got a PhD in law. After getting a double lung transplant in Paris he was able to conduct normal life -  he worked as an expert in criminal law in Polish Parliament, as an assistant judge in Polish Court and as a clerk in Ministry of Health, he was also awarded by the ombudsman for his not-for-profit work as a lawyer for children with chronic diseases, especially CF. Now he is finishing a second PhD in sociology and wants to build a family with his beloved wife Irena.

Unfortunately, Patryk recently had to undergo a major surgery, which left him very weak. During a lymph drainage operation the surgeon accidentally cut into his neck artery, which lead to a major loss of blood and during re-animation, injury to his neck verterbrae and shoulder.

He now needs intensive physiotherapy treatments and a comprehensive range of medical food supplements to bring his weight from 45kg to normal (he is 172 cm tall). These are not subsidised by the government and since Patryk lost his income due to illness, he is not able to afford them. 

Patryk has spent all his life giving to others and helping people in need, he now needs our help. The matter is urgent as without treatment he will keep deteriorating, the rehabilitation has to start immediately for Patryk to get back to normal functioning.
