Hi! My name is Sancha, and this fundraiser has two intentions:

1. Save Kobe, Mitshi's best friend.

2. Give Mitshi the experience of being supported in life.

Kobe has been with Mitshi for 9 years and was recently diagnosed with cancer, a soft tissue sarcoma. He has been Mitshi's lifeline of love and support over many experiences - 4 years of college, returning home to California to support her Mom, breakups, relationship growth, and now Mitshi's pre-med studies. I have seen Kobe follow Mitshi through pelting rains, narrow canyon pathways, and far into the ocean as she surfs. All he wants is to be near her. I know people (humanity) are very capable of showing unconditional, effortless, limitless love. Still, I feel like we are so lucky to have those pets, those little furry entities that respond so sincerely, continuously, and uncompromisingly. Kobe would follow Mitshi to the end. And she is not ready to lose him. Your donation would mean a lot and allow Kobe to get a much-needed medical procedure.

The second intention is harder to put into words....but I feel like if you know Mitshi, you understand. And even if you do not know her, you know someone in life who "will do it on their own and won't ask for help".... even when they need it. Or maybe you are like Mitshi. And it's okay. I have been moved, impressed, and inspired by her sheer willpower to be the best, to be the one to figure things out, and to live life powerfully. Thank you, Mitshi. You are one of a kind.

I think there are moments in life where even the most capable have an opportunity to receive love and help. And to be the recipient of such generosity brings the budding of a bit of hope and faith back. I would love for her to have that experience.
