Helping Me Survive My Seizures
In my many years in the Wood River Valley I have had the privilege of working in many fine establishments and putting out some amazing food to some amazing people. I have also been given the Honor of officiating many weddings throughout the valley, two of my Favorite things, a high paced high-quality kitchen, and bonding two people in marriage. Unfortunately, things change, and I am temporarily unable to work due to an unforeseeable obstacle. Seizures! Debilitating seizures have disrupted my everyday life. They have sent to the E.R. Several times and have caused some severe bodily harm, even causing enough injury to require surgery. I have undergone every test available, and no Doctor has been able to give me a solid explanation as to why these seizures are happening. I have a lot of therapy ahead of me for my recent surgery, but there is no remedy for my “episodes”, just medication for now. Because of this condition, it is unsafe for me to work until we can get underneath the cause of this. Besides the injuries I’ve received, the worst side effect is my anxiety. Anxiety from not knowing if and when one will come, the damage I may cause to myself or those around me, and my inability to support myself. I wasn’t insured when this began, I am now, (A.C.A). I also am currently working on a disability claim to hold me over until this is resolved, and I can return to work. My many trips to the hospitals in recent years has required many people to be at my bedside. I want to thank those EMTs, Drs, Nurses, Family and Friends. The funds I receive from this funding campaign will go directly to my medical bills. My Surgeon, Radiologist, EMTs and all the bills at ST Luke’s are priority, with rest of the budget going to my essentials such as rent, and other bills. I do welcome any ideas from anyone who may have any access to any medical research related to my predicament.
