My name is Dr Aisha Muzaffar, I am fully registered doctor in the UK and I’m raising funds for my brother, Dr. Samar Ahmad—a compassionate, dedicated surgeon who has spent his life healing others. Now, he has the chance to bring hope to thousands more.

The Crisis in Tanzania

Tanzania is home to over 60 million people—but fewer than ten qualified cardiothoracic surgeons. That means thousands of children and adults suffer or die from treatable conditions simply because there’s no one trained to help.

Families live with the constant fear that if a loved one’s heart fails, there may be no lifeline.

Dr. Samar wants to change that.

Today, the scarcity of specialists like cardiothoracic surgeons is linked to inadequate and fragile infrastructures deeply rooted in Tanzania’s colonial past, leaving behind a legacy that prevents growth in health, education and public services.

A Rare Opportunity to Save Lives

Samar has been accepted into a prestigious three-year cardiothoracic surgery training program. Once completed, he will return to Tanzania equipped with the skills to perform life-saving surgeries and train future doctors—creating a ripple effect of healing across generations.

But this opportunity comes with a cost: We need to raise £35,000 to cover tuition, training materials, travel, and insurance.
