Saving Lindsay's Health
Donation protected
Lindsay Feitsma (Dykman) was an outgoing, energetic, fun, career driven person. For the past 8 years she’s been consumed by her physical pain, debilitating her and robbing her from living a normal and hopeful life. Her pain and pursuit to find relief has taken away her ability to work and pursue a career. It has taken her identity, her independence, her mind, and her future. It robs Lindsay of waking and rising to greet a new day.
Lindsay has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and endometriosis. Alongside the pain she lives with from fibromyalgia and endometriosis is a different debilitating pain that has remained a mystery and goes undiagnosed for 5 1/2 years now. This pain makes everyday activities, such as walking, sitting up in bed, bathing, and being with friends near impossible. It is an untouchable 10/10 pain with a current unknown diagnosis. Lindsay has been in and out of the hospital, back and forth to emergency, and had numerous tests, scans and surgeries. The help she has received in Canada has not been able to determine the cause of these symptoms. Lindsay has exhausted Canadian resources and the long wait times to even talk with more specialists creates hopelessness.
In desperation, Lindsay and her mom, Donna, have recently connected with Mount Baker Pain Clinic in Bellingham and Lindsay has a consultation appointment on July 17th. Her hope is to discover a diagnosis, to figure out why the pain is happening, and to resolve, manage or ultimately (and hopefully) heal that pain.
The Costs: We are looking for a diagnosis and so it’s difficult to say what the costs will be on this end. Costs anticipated will include:
- An upcoming consultation appointment July 17th at Mount Baker Pain Clinic in Bellingham, USA
- Subsequent visits for In-depth investigations of her pain
- From there, exploratory treatments that the doctors will pursue
- On going costs for her current plethora of medications
Our goal with this fundraiser is to try absolutely everything before giving up.
Please consider donating and sharing so we can get Lindsay in front of the right people to solve her severe chronic pain problems. We know she’s loosing hope so please work with us to keep Lindsay alive and healthy. Thank you for every prayer, donation, comment, and share.
All our love
