Hi to everyone !, just take a few seconds to pass through this life saving short story below, thanks.

FUNDING PROPOSAL FOR UZIMA PROJECT TO SAVE OVER 25,000 PERSONS IN BWENI-MAFIA, TANZANIA
Executive Summary
The health sector continues to require high emphasis because it is the cornerstone of both national development and human wellbeing. Tanzania still has a ways to go in ensuring that health services are provided fairly and for this reason, the government must cooperate with other partners.
Mafia Island, one of the beautiful Islands in the United Republic of Tanzania is located in the Indian Ocean close to Dar es Salaam with an area of around 440 square kilometers and a population of about 66,180 people as of the 2022 census.

The Uzima Health Center is the name given to a project founded by Dr. Mbogo Ng’wisabila Kija that will be centered in the northern part of Mafia Island in Bweni village with its goal to offer top-notch medical care services to around thirteen nearby villages and the Island as a whole. Over 25,000 members of the local community will potentially benefit from this project and consequently save lives over the entire Island.
The project's founder has already used his life savings to acquire a plot for the project measuring 66.4 acres with its Title deed. At this time, he is looking for possible partners who can work together to make a success of it for which the first phase requires about 123,345,900Tshs only (~50,000 Euros). With the support of funding, the founder is confident in his ability to produce excellent outcomes that are in line with the shared goals and values.
Project goals; To provide better healthcare to these less privileged communities, To provide knowledge on preventive and curative medicine to these communities, To make a competitive medical and training center from within and outside the Island, To provide reliable healthcare solution for the less privileged persons ,To enhance the right to access quality medical care to every individual ,Eliminate unwanted deaths or disabilities caused by lack of proper medical care and Be the top ranking healthcare provider in the Country
Project phases
The project is divided into five main phases namely Mini pharmacy (Duka la dawa), Cleaning and making a master plan for the whole plot, Building a Health center (Hospital), Building a Health training college and making a center for the people in need (less privileged persons eg. Eldery people, disabled, deprived, mental health etc)

i) Phase I: Mini pharmacy (In Swahili: Duka la Dawa)
Owing to funding constraints, the project founder thought that it would be much better to launch the initiative at least by providing basic pharmaceuticals through the establishment of a small pharmacy. This will enable the local population to get basic medications and become acquainted with the project. They will also be able to start receiving high-quality medical care to save time and money. This phase requires 122,945,900Tshs (~50,000 Euros).
Since the project is centred in the bush where no neighbouring houses for staffs to rent and the project intends to offer services 24 hours daily for seven days, therefore it necessitates self sufficient infrastructures enough to accommodate staffs and all the basic needs.
The proposed building has a pharmacy room with a manager room having a toilet to enable staffs stay inside most of the time, more so in the night time. Apart from the dispensing/pharmacy room there is one room with a corridor as a living/sleeping place for staffs. There is also a room as an external store for storing large quantity of medicines and medical supplies that does not require cold environment; it will serve as a depot. For clear view see the architectural drawing and budget details in the appendix of proposal.

a) Time frame for completion
Provided the money is available then it is designed to be accomplished within 2 months of working. More details in appendix 2

b) Impact of phase I; Better healthcare services be closer to the less privileged community, Improved health of the community at large, Increased standard of life to the community as a result of to time and money saving, Promotion of quality healthcare from the grassroots, Knowledge dissemination on preventive and curative medicine, Lifesaving at all ages hence increasing survival rates and Will act as a successor for phase II
