Four years ago I went to a worn down shelter to “just look” at the pups that needed homes. I went outside and out ran a litter of 6 puppies. A curly haired collie was in the back, walked right up to me, kissed me on the face and ran off to join his brothers and sisters. A giant jug caught his eye and he growled and pounced right into it - getting quickly stuck he panicked and ran right into me, whimpering. I pulled jug from his head and fell in love knowing he was going to be my new forever friend.

Over the last four years, we have shared many memories: Long walks to the fridge to share peanut butter, ball throws, and being a really good boy. He has moved with me all 6 times in the last 4 years, growling at all the strangers that step onto his yard without haste.

It was all fun and games, until recently: Leo was chasing the neighborhood squirrel and unfortunately, dislocated his knee and completely tore his ACL.

The funds I am raising will go to the total cost of his surgery. I’m hoping to raise enough to get his surgery scheduled this month.
