Saving Krystal Heroin Outreach
Donation protected
My daughter Krystal died yesterday of a heroin overdose. She was 22 years old . If you have had a son, daughter, relative or friend who has used drugs, you recognize that your worst nightmare became my reality. She was like any other young adult these days with her world revolved around fashion, social media, pizza and selfies. I make no excuses for her as at the end of the day , she was the one pushing the needle, however , it has become clear to me that the system is broken . She was doing so well and just fell in the already overcrowded, and overworked system. I am left only to pick up the pieces and find ways to channel my sadness and anger into something positive.
Back in the 70's and 80's weed was the drug of choice. This generation it is Opioids and Heroin. It is highly addictive and a lot easier to get than one would think. Heroin is not biased. It takes children who are rich or poor. It takes the educated and the dropouts. It takes children in the projects and those in good neighborhoods. All it takes is one bad apple for your child to meet at a party or on social media. Heroin is like candy that kills in a blink of an eye . The devil that always is picking away at your child. Most teenagers give in to peer pressure for sex, smoking, or alcohol. If your child tries these things, they will live. It only takes one time for heroin to take your child forever. You do not get second chances to lecture them about life choices.
I am starting a nonprofit called Saving Krystal for people who need to break the habit and change their life. There is a lack of support out there for these young people who have the desire to get off this drug. 100% of all money raised will be used for added social workers, education, and outreach, building a home for recovering addicts, rehab costs and additional support as needed. I cannot make my daughter come back, but I can devote my life to saving someone else's child.
If you cannot donate, please like and share. Even sharing could save a life and help parents educate their children .
Thank you and God Bless.
