Saving Katie San Filippo

Katie was involved in a horrible accident on Friday night (6/25). She was found unconscious and suffered a severe head injury and a punctured lung. She was airlifted to Sutter Health Medical Center ICU where she went into surgery to reduce the swelling in her brain and put on a ventilator to help her breath.

Katie is an organ donor so Sutter Health was quick to pronounce Katie brain dead not more than day after she underwent brain surgery. Her father has moved mountains to get Katie a second opinion and she is now approved for a transfer to Stanford.

We need all the help we can get to find a private ambulance to transfer Katie to Stanford today (6/29) and all the financial support we can find to help with the cost of exhausting any and all options of saving Katie's life.

Katie is a special woman with an adorable, sweet son named Jace who is 5yrs old. Katie always goes above and beyond for her friends and family. She's kind, non-judgmental and makes friends wherever she goes. Her spirit is bright and the fight within her is strong. Given the opportunity, Katie can and will make it out of this fight for her life alive.

Carlos Lazarte is the father of Katie's son Jace and is the beneficiary of these funds.  He will allocate funds to Katie's father, Michael, for      her medical expenses and the remaining funds will go to Katie's son Jace in the form of a Trust Fund for which Katie's parents and Carlos    will be the Trustees.
