Saving Flynn 2024
Tax deductible
Flynn is a 3-month old Belgian Draft colt surrendered to our Rescue. He is an unfortunate byproduct of a for-profit horse business. He was born with a large hernia that will require surgery, and has a muscle deformity of his back. He would never be appropriate for showing, so the expense of correcting his problems was too great to be worthwhile to the farm where he was born. The owner was going to have him euthanized, but their veterinarian suggested our Rescue instead. We remain opposed to breeding for any reason, but we are grateful for their kindness in choosing to give Flynn a second chance and surrender him to us to receive the care he requires to continue the life that has only just begun.
While we are willing to go to the considerable expense involved, we are asking for any help that caring people can spare to assist us with this life-saving surgery for Flynn. The size of his hernia will most likely require mesh and possibly a stay of two overnights. With the possibility of complications, the cost could approach $4,000.00 (this includes gelding as well).
If you have it in your heart to help us save Flynn, please visit our "Saving Flynn 2024" Go Fund Me, and we thank you for your kindness and compassion for this beautiful, loving animal.
