Saving Eyes

My name is Osayimwese Osagboro I am a retired Teacher. I want to raise funds for a cataract surgery .

In March 2020 I was in a lecture when I suddenly realized i could mot read my written notes, I also realized I could only see well lit large fonts. i immediately sought expert assistance

The surgery has been recommended by the Eye Clinic at the University of The West Indies and will be a great relief for me. as it is now, I cannot read from a text or any other printed material., On a computer the font has to increased to at least 175%. its difficult to see on a daily basis, especially in open spaces when the light is not bright enough.

The public facilities at the hospitals are not available because of COVID 19.

I have been waiting for a year now for a date, but that is not possible now. The alternative is to get the procedure done at a private facility. That is a very expensive venture, the amount being sought is to cover the cost of the survey plus any medication and after care that will be needed. The last cost quoted by the Nuttall Hospital is 200 000 Jamaican dollars per eye.,

i would appreciate any help I can get in this venture to correct my sight.
