My brother David leads an active life style. He’s a California State beach life guard. David’s whole purpose and goal in life is to help others. He has made countless saves in his career and helped keep the beaches of California and it’s many tourists and locals safe. When he’s not doing the job he loves he’s surfing, hiking, running, snowboarding, teaching swim lessons or water polo skills. His livelihood and happiness is dependent on his physical health. About 6 weeks ago he started feeling an indescribable pain. He was originally misdiagnosed and given the wrong care and medications before doctors realized what was going on. On the eve of his 25th birthday, David was rushed to the ER where doctors diagnosed him with hydronephrosis, a swelling of the kidney. It has reached the most severe stage and the only way for David to move past this is with an invasive surgery to remove the blockage in his kidney, repair the walls of the kidney, and place a stint in to keep this from happening again. David unfortunately had to make a decision to deny kidney surgery for financial reasons, rather than what’s most beneficial to his health, and what the doctors recommended. This is what has triggered me to make this go fund me for my older brother. He’s waiting to get a special X-ray to see exactly where his kidney is health wise. If he can’t raise the funds, he will ultimately have to remove the kidney entirely, as that is the only way to keep him from the constant pain he has been in for the last 2 months. Despite this constant pain, he’s been forced to continue working in order to pay off his medical bills. Anything you can give to help David cover his medical expenses would be much appreciated by both David and the many people who love him and want him to get back to living his life and serving others.
