Hello everybody, my name is Jayden Stein, and I am one of the many dance teachers at Dance By Kris, located in Cottage Grove, Minnesota. Growing up, like many others, this dance studio has been my home away from home. For as long as I can remember, a significant portion of my life has resided within the walls of this dance studio. I danced there for over sixteen years, and following in my mom's footsteps I now teach there myself. Due to this pandemic's uncertainty, I am making this campaign to try and keep this very special studio alive throughout the coming months.
Dance By Kris was started by Ms. Kris twenty-five years ago. This studio has become a second home and family to so many. Ms. Kris always strives to be a positive role model for every student who walks through our doors and tries to treat every child like she would her own. Unfortunately, due to the circumstances, I have witnessed countless studios being forced to close their doors. I, along with countless other dancers, teachers, and parents, are determined to keep our doors open. After seeing our studio owners tirelessly applying for small business loans with little success, I am asking for donations on behalf of Kris and Debbie, knowing they never would. One-hundred-percent of these donations would be put towards paying the studio's rent and the building's electricity and water, as well as helping to keep our studio's instructors and their families stable and supported during these troubling times.
Even if you are only able to donate five dollars, every cent counts and would be very much appreciated! If you are unable to donate, please share this with as many people as you can. I, for one, believe that by working together, we can overcome this hardship and grow stronger as a community when we come out the other side. Together, I know we can keep this amazing studio alive!
